Solo Piano Or Accompaniment?<\/span><\/h3>\n


Whether you want to accompany vocals, play in a band, or just play solo piano, you’ve come to the right place! It doesn’t matter if you want to start playing piano or if you are already advanced. Do you want to play pop songs or jazz? Under Piano Styles you will find an overview of what is possible.<\/p>\n

Develop Your Own Style<\/span><\/h3>\n

Creative music making<\/strong> allows you to find your personal style and to exhaust the scope of your individual possibilities. Therefore, playing along to sheet music<\/strong> is not in the foreground. The knowledge of harmonic and rhythmic structures<\/strong> will enable you to independently pick out songs from musical originals<\/strong> and to transfer them harmonically correctly to the piano<\/strong>, even if the song is originally played on the guitar, for example. As an advanced student, you will then learn how to create your own solos<\/strong>, including improvisation<\/strong>. In rock and pop music, as well as in blues and jazz, you often work with so-called lead sheets<\/strong> or without notes at all. In leadsheets, the melody appears in the form of notes, supplemented by the corresponding chord symbols.<\/p>\n

We want your personal talents, preferences and previous knowledge to flow into the piano training. In this way, you will be able to develop your personal style<\/strong> and design the songs individually. We use arrangements with different levels of difficulty and styles<\/strong> for the respective songs. So you can start with simple versions<\/strong> and work your way up to more complex ones over time.<\/p>\n

Training Materials

For practicing a song, you have the complete sheet music<\/strong> and a video<\/strong> at your disposal, each of which was previously recorded via MIDI with a sequencer program and a camera. The video contains a recording of the playing hands<\/strong> and a keyboard<\/strong> on which the notes played in each case can be seen in real time<\/strong>. This can then be played back at a slower tempo<\/strong> using a suitable playback program. This allows you to practice at your own pace at any time and any place.<\/p>\n
